After downloading your driver, read through the driver installation notes located at the bottom of the screen.

Windows 95 driver installation note

  1. Plug-in the USB Cable to the "USB Ready" computer.
  2. You will be prompted for "Unknown Device".
  3. Insert the "driver's diskette" or provide its location.
  4. Once the client driver loads, it will initialize the MSD (Mass Storage Device) driver.
  5. The CompactFlash card will now be accessible via a Removable Drive icon in the My Computer folder.
    (Clicking on "Finish" more than once may result in adding the hardware more than once, so don't do it.)

Windows 98 driver installation note

  1. Plug-in the USB Cable to the computer.
  2. You will be prompted for "USB CFII" Drivers.
  3. Insert the "driver's diskette" or provide its location.
  4. Once the client driver loads, it will initialize the MSD (Mass Storage Device) driver.
  5. The CompactFlash card will now be accessible via a Removable Drive icon in the My Computer folder.
    (Clicking on "Finish" more than once may result in adding the hardware more than once, so don't do it.)

Windows ME driver installation note

  1. Click on the ME driver that you want to download.
  2. Write down the of the name of the file and where this file is going to be saved on your hard drive.
  3. After downloading the file, go to the location it was saved in.
  4. Double click on the file and follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. DO NOT change anything.
  6. Click finish at the end of the install.
  7. Plug in the ImageMate. It will create a new drive in My Computer.

Windows 2000 driver installation note

  1. Plug-in the USB Cable to the computer.
  2. A "Found New Hardware" message will be displayed.
  3. The hardware installation wizard will run, follow the instructions displayed in the screens.
  4. You will be prompted for "USB CFII" Drivers, select the option to search for a suitable driver.
  5. Insert the diskette and provide the location of the drivers.
  6. Once Windows 2000 finds the suitable driver it will proceed to install it; follow the prompts on the screen.
  7. Press "Finish" to complete the installation.
  8. The CompactFlash card will now be accessible via a Removable Drive icon in the My Computer folder.

Windows XP driver installaion note

  1. Save the zip file to your desktop.
  2. Create a folder called SanDisk.
  3. Unzip the 5 files from the downloaded zip and place them in the SanDisk folder.
  4. Uninstall any old drivers you may have installed.
  5. Reboot.
  6. Plug the reader in.
  7. When the wizard starts, choose from specified location and point it to the SanDisk folder.
  8. Click continue anyway to the signing message.
  9. Finish install.
  10. Plug card into the reader.
  11. You will receive a pop up with actions.

Macintosh driver installation note 

  1. Drag Removable Disk Volume to TRASH before removal or use Mac OS eject command.

Macintosh - OSX, OS 10.1

  1. Not supported on any version of OSX; may work when booted into classic version 9.1.
