SDDR-05a ImageMate™ Driver

Windows 95 driver installation note

  1. Plug-in the USB Cable to the "USB Ready" host.
  2. You will be prompted for "Unknown Device".
  3. Insert the "drivers diskette" or provide its location.
  4. Once the client driver loads, it will then initialize the MSD (Mass Storage Device) driver.
  5. The CompactFlash card will now be accessible via a Removable Drive icon in the My Computer folder.
    (Clicking on "Finish" more than once may result in adding the hardware more than once, so dont do it.)

Windows 98 driver installation note

  1. Plug-in the USB Cable to the computer.
  2. You will be prompted for "SanDisk USB ImageMate" Drivers.
  3. Insert the "drivers diskette" or provide its location.
  4. Once the client driver loads, it will initialize the MSD (Mass Storage Device) driver.
  5. The CompactFlash card will now be accessible via a Removable Drive icon in the My Computer folder.
    (Clicking on "Finish" more than once may result in adding the hardware more than once, so dont do it.)

Windows ME:
Use the native drivers built into ME: 

  1. Unplug the ImageMate.
  2. Go to Start>>Programs>>ImageMate>>Uninstall ImageMate driver.
  3. Go to Start>>Run>>Type in Regedit.
  4. Select (click on plus + sign next to) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  5. Select (click on plus + sign next to) Enum.
  6. Select (click on plus + sign next to) USB.
  7. Highlight VID_0781&PID_0002 (the PID will be different if there is another ImageMate).
  8. Hit delete key, OK to delete entry, close registry editor.
  9. Restart.
  10. Plug the reader into the system.
    Note: Do not install the cd.

Windows 2000 driver installation note 

  1. The driver is copied to your system and added to the installed device list.
    This completes the driver installation.

Windows XP driver information

  1. Remove all previously installed drivers for the SDDR-05a.
  2. Shut down the system.
  3. Connect the reader.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. XP will install the reader.
  6. Plug a card into the reader and an action menu will appear.

Macintosh driver installation note

  1. Drag Removable Disk Volume to TRASH before removal or use Mac OS eject command.

Macintosh - OSX, OS 10.1

  1. May work on OSX if the reader is plugged into the computer with the card already inserted.
  2. Otherwise the reader not supported on any version of OSX; may work when booted into classic version 9.1.
